Together with the citizens of Thayer County, we shall work to improve the health of our region by providing high quality compassionate health care close to home. Facilities Providing health and wellness services, TCHS serves Thayer County and surrounding communities. TCHS is comprised of a 19-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) and clinic in Hebron, and five satellite clinics in Bruning, Chester, Davenport, Deshler and Milligan. Besides the inpatient services, TCHS supports a full spectrum of pre-and post-hospital services, along with wellness programs. Medical Staff Medical staff consists of three physicians, two physician assistants and one nurse practitioner. Our staff members provide an array of inpatient, outpatient and emergency care services. In addition, over 20 visiting physicians provide specialized services for our patients. News & Announcements TCHS Receives Grant for $1.6 Million Thayer County Health Services received a Grant for $1.6 Million to improve the flow of Patient Health Information in Thayer County. Nebraska was one of only 16 states to receive this Health Information Technology (HIT) grant for one Critical Access Hospital. Focusing on Teamwork will Ensure Safe Care for Patients In order to make the care we provide even safer for our patients, Thayer County Health Services is working to improve communication skills amoung staff members. To assist us in our efforts to improve, several hospital employees recently attended a specialized team training session in Lincoln and Kearney that was designed to improve communications among doctors, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, and administrative staff. More... TCHS Performs First Total Knee Replacement Thanks to the newly renovated Erwin Dunker Surgery Center, we are now able to perform total knee replacement surgeries at our hospital in Hebron. The two Orthopedic Surgeons, Dr. Hurlbut and Dr. Bohlen will be performing knee replacement surgeries locally for our patients Full Story...
