Dr. Hubl is an excellent doctor. He is very knowledgeable and skillful in his work. He is able to remain calm and collected in the most stressful of situations. He genuinely cares for all of his patients. He can be seen on weekends and his days off rounding on or stopping by for a check on his patients. He displays a passion for his job and work ethic that is not seen often these days. His work does not end when he leaves this building. He has been known to call patients at home to check on them. We are very blessed to have him here. He is a great asset to TCHS!. Employee of the Month for July is Heather Cooper. Heather has worked in Health Information since 2000. She is a HIM tech as well as a coder for our facility. Heather is known for her high level of HIM and coding knowledge. In addition Heather consistently demonstrates a willingness to learn more. Heather will always “go the extra mile” and demonstrates the positive attitude that has helped make TCHS a leader of Health Information in the nation Congratulations Heather. Employee of the Month for June is Kathy Bauhard. Kathy has worked at TCHS since 1987 and is currently the Director of Laboratory Services. Kathy has always been known for her outstanding leadership. This excellent example of leadership has been proven numerous times in our patient safety surveys conducted by the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Kathy has time and time again shown her professionalism and dedication to not only TCHS but to the patients she serves. Congratulations Kathy, you richly deserve this award. Employee of the Month for May is Pat Hinz. Pat has worked at TCHS since 1994. Pat works in the dietary department as a cook so her work is near and dear to all our appetites! Pat displays her positive attitude daily and we count on her to provide us with wonderful food. Pat also has helped us numerous times by covering the duties of the department Director when she takes a vacation. Pat’s willingness to take on additional duties when necessary is much appreciated and noticed. Congratulations Pat on a job well done. Employee of the month for April is Dianne Meyer. She always goes above and beyond for the patients. Dianne always makes sure she gets what they need prior to dismissal. She often gives swing bed patients tours of the hospital and always is a good listener for our patients. Congratulations Dianne! Employee of the month for March is Jamie Koch. Jamie is a very knowledgeable nurse. She is kind to her patients and co-workers. Patient care is always her top priority. Jamie went above and beyond this winter picking up shifts and staying over night to ensure that all shifts were covered during bad weather. Thayer County Health Services is lucky to have such a great nurse. Employee of the month for February is Becky Mize. Becky does a great job as Staff Accountant for the Business Office, but she is much more than a “numbers person”. She gladly assists the rest of our team, as well as other departments to make sure that our patients are well treated. She is always friendly and pleasant to our staff and patients and leads by example. Congratulations Becky! Employee of the month for January is Megan Eitzmann. Megan is a registered nurse that works the 5am shift. She is extremely competent in the emergency room, obstetrics, as well as the medical and surgical areas. She is also an excellent resource for staff that have questions related to the electronic health record. Megan is always pleasant, has a smile on her face, and makes patients and families feel welcome and well cared for. Her co-workers enjoy working with Megan. She is a wonderful example of awesome customer service. Congratulations Megan! Employee of the Month for November is Kevin Yoachim. Kevin provided exceptional service after the water leak in the Coordinators’ Office. Kevin finished all the repairs in an impressive period of time and managed an exceptional quality of workmanship. Thanks Kevin for a great job. Employee of the Month for October is Derek Kunc. Derek has proven himself a dedicated, hardworking individual with team spirit and a positive attitude. No task or job is beneath him and he readily approaches a challenge with the “can do” attitude. Derek has been a valuable member of the I.T. team and is an appreciated asset to TCHS. His co-workers and TCHS staff often comment on Derek’s smile and positive attitude in the workplace. Employee of the Month for September is Malissa Sittler. Malissa is Director of Human Resource and was recently nominated for her efforts not only in physician recruitment but also for all her work in finding physician coverage for weekends. Malissa has also shown dedication in finding the best possible employee benefits at a price the facility and employee can afford. Malissa spends hours working with insurance carriers to ensure every employee that wants insurance is properly covered. Malissa has recently been appointed to the Strategy Committee working with others on the Committee to be part of the team to lead TCHS into the future. Employee of the Month for August is Sue Moore, DON. Sue is always willing to help on the floor whenever she is needed. She does not hesitate to work some weekends or night shifts. She has come in numerous times to help o the floor or in the ER when it is very busy. Sue also has been known to stay until 1 or 2 am if she needs to. Sue has put a lot of time into the improvements made with the grant money. She always has a smile on her face and is a great person to work with. Employee of the month for July is Mike Thumann. Mike is the Director of the Maintenance department. With Mike as Director of the department the entire facility has become aware of the new focus on customer service. The entire maintenance department, under Mike’s leadership, is known for their eagerness to meet the needs of not only the patients but also the employees. Tasks are completed timely and with pride and are a reflection on the leadership found in Mike Thumann. Congratulations Mike on a job well done Employee of the Month for June is Tara Huber. Tara works in hospital nursing and in the surgery department. She is very dedicated to serving Thayer County Health Services anyway she can. She is always willing to pick up extra shifts, take extra call, cover for others and simply willing to always help out. Her first priority is always patient care and she treats others like they are her family. Tara is someone her co-workers are willing and grateful to work with. Her compassionate spirit is contagious. Thayer County Health Services is luck to have Tara as an employee! Employee of the Month for May, 2009 is Michelle Dick. Michelle always has a positive “I can do attitude”. She is willing to learn new things and never states “its not my job!” Many times she has come to work on her day off or has stayed late due to short staffing. Michelle does an excellent job of restocking and never hesitates to complete any work that needs to be done. She has learned to first scrub for all physicians in a short period of time and has done a wonderful job. Michelle is an important member of our Surgery team!. Employee of the Month for April, 2009 is Michael White. Michael works as an EMT here at Thayer County Health Services. Not only is Michael an asset to the ambulance department, but he also helps the nursing department by working the floor and helping taking care of patients. Michael even helps Helen Boman, RN in Cardiac Rehab by assisting with the Cardiolight Clinic Congratulations Michael on a job well done. Employee of the Month for March, 2009 is Signe Benson. Sig works in the business office where she stays busy collecting the money necessary for operating the facility. She is known for her positive attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to complete her tasks. She is an example of “best practice” in the collection process and is one of the reasons that days in AR are down. Sig is also a member of the Customer Service Committee and is a leader in improved customer service for TCHS. Sig is a wonderful role model for all of us. Congratulations Sig on a job well done. Employee of the month for February, 2009 is Greg Richardson. Greg works in the radiology department as a CT and radiology tech. He has been an employee of TCHS since 2000. One of Greg’s many attributes is his calm demeanor. He is able to handle difficult situations when necessary. He also works well with his co-workers in the radiology department as well as other departments. Greg is also very knowledgeable in his field and was instrumental in setting up the new radiology department during the addition phase. He has shown leadership abilities as Assistant Director of Radiology. Employee of the month for January, 2009 is Lisa Arend. Lisa is an LPN working at the Hebron Clinic and has been an employee of TCHS since 2006. Lisa is known for her ever present smile and ability to take on any situation with calmness and confidence. Lisa works with Dr. Hubl daily and aids Dr. Hubl in the care of his patients at the clinic. She is a wonderful asset to him as well as to TCHS. Congratulations Lisa for your contribution toward the mission of Thayer County Health Services. The employee of the month for December, 2008 is Pat Hinz Pat works in Dietary Services and has been employed here at Thayer County Health Services for over ten years. She is a hard worker and does a great job of helping to keep the kitchen running smoothly. Everyone enjoys working with Pat. She use to be the supervisor of the kitchen and has a lot of knowledge and experience. Pat does an excellent job and we appreciate everything she does. Congratulations Pat on doing a great job! Employee of the Month for November, 2008 is Becky Mize. Becky is always a polite and pleasant person. She goes the extra mile for people and you never hear a bad word about someone spoken by her. What prompted us to nominate Becky is that she always calls us and asks us if we need change for our cash register before she goes downtown. That helps our job a lot. Employees come to us for change constantly and she makes it easier for us to have cash available at lunch time. Employee of the Month for October, 2008 is Linda Hamel. Linda is an RN working nights at the hospital. Linda is a very reliable and hardworking nurse. She is always agreeabble to train new employees and work overtime when needed. She is more willing to trade shifts with other co-workers without hesitation. Finally and most importantly Linda always puts her patients' needs before her own, never saying, "That's not my Job". Employee of the Month for September, 2008 is Lana Rempel. Lana has been an employee of Thayer County Health Services since October 2006 and works in the Environmental Service area. Lana is known for her wonderful smile and positive attitude. Lana clearly cares about our patients and takes her important role in providing our patients with a clean environment that prevents the spread of disease very seriously. Lana is a joy to work with we are very fortunate to have her as an employee of TCHS. Congratulations Lana. Employee of the month for August, 2008 is Mike Thumann. Mike is the Director of our maintenance department and is always ready to make the effort to be there when needed. He is pleasant and positive no matter how hectic it is. He is definitely an asset to Thayer County Health Services and especially to the maintenance department. He and his “crew” take care of things as quickly as possible and do a great job, not always under the best conditions. We are all fortunate to have him as the Director of Maintenance. Congratulations Mike on a job well done. Employee of the Month for July, 2008 is Terri Urich. Terri has been an employee of Thayer County Health Services since 2005 and works as a receptionist in the x-ray/lab ancillary services. Terri is known for her excellent costumer service and recently agreed to be on our Patient Satisfaction Committee to improve our patient satisfaction scores. Terri is always friendly and courteous to our patients and fellow employees. She always has a smile and a “can do attitude”. She helps problem solve for the facility and works well with staff and patients. Congratulations Terri for a job well done Employee of the Month for June, 2008 is Shelly Pulliam. Shelly has been an employee in the TCHS radiology department since 2002. She is a valuable employee because of her hard work ethic and her friendly personality. She is always willing to lend a hand to help out and go the extra mile when needed. She is a great asset to TCHS and we are lucky to have her in the radiology department. GOVERNGO.
